I created Dr. Laumbe to use in the late Puppyverse stories, then realized that she'd fit perfectly here.

And hee hee, to add to a bit of the intrigue, here is where her name comes from:

Laume is a fae that works much like the Fates but can also be seen as an evil figure that snatches babies or kills them to punish greedy mothers. But the "b" comes from John Rabe, aka, "The Good Nazi of Nanking," who helped save the lives of 300,000 people during the Rape of Nanking and tried to put a stop to some of the Japanese atrocities there. "Anneke" comes from "Anna Perenna," who was the goddess who could end a year well and begin a new one auspiciously, and "Ananke," the goddess of inevitablity.
