Hi, I'm BORED STUPID. I can't manage being upright for more than an hour at a stretch before I go "...lying down now" (yay, side effects) and need to be distracted, especially since the Magic 5% of common sense that saves me from being a complete idiot is telling me I need to stay home tomorrow (I went out to buy groceries, and it was a MISTAKE; I should have ordered another pizza and had the food come to me).

So! Because I can't manage anything that requires "upright" and all of my big fic projects require more thinking than me headachey brain (yay, side effects) can manage but I'm also, yeah, BORED STUPID, one comment drabbles! (I have a laptop, which is why I'm online at all--it goes into the bed with me. :D )

Give me a prompt and I'll write a one-comment drabble.* Any fandom or 'verse I've written for is OK (I'll even entertain crossovers XD ). It will ONLY be one comment, though, even if I have to beat it with a stick.

Give me a character (or characters), a season, and an adjective or sign of the season (ie, for winter, hot chocolate), and I'll write you a drabble or a fic, depending on how it goes.

Dr. Sam Beckett had no idea how he had gotten into this.

This is not to say that he had never leapt into a musical before--he had. Man of La Mancha. He could still belt out 'I am I, Don Quixote, the Man of La Mancha! My destiny calls and I go~!" even if from time to time the irony of it all hit him so hard it almost made him want to sob. Other times, it gave him a kind of strength; even if he was tilting at windmills, he was still on the path of the righteous, putting right what had once gone wrong.

So while leaping into Les Mis was new, he'd been in a musical before, and he knew the craziness that went on backstage.

This was...something else, though. The entire cast was...

"C'mon, Cosette. Give Papa a kiss," the guy playing Valjean said with a lascivious grin, and grabbed Sam by the wrist.

Drabble 1: Second Day Chocolate
Word count: 241
Prompt: clueless!Seph and shy!Cloud and Valentine's day
Warnings/Notes: Romance and sap give me hives. Also, I'm a card-carrying member of the Overthinkers' Club: since "Valentine's Day" wouldn't exist on Gaia, I did a bit of research on similar festivals and have combined Tanabata/Qi Ye and Sepandarmazgan with a touch of Yu B'Av for kicks. I've made it into a three-day-long holiday of sorts (7th, 14th, 17th), where on the first day is for sending the signal that you're available (in this case, by wearing white), the second day for giving presents, and the third for giving presents in return if you like the person who gave you a gift. If I use it again in a fic, I'll come up with a proper name for the holiday.
ETA - Because it was nagging at me, the name of the holiday is "Tryanur," coming from the Sanskrit word "tryah" (three) and "anura-", the root for "love." I chose Sanskrit since the name of the City of the Ancients is "Ajit," which is derived from the Sanskrit "ajita," meaning "invincible." I DID say I was a member of the Overthinkers' Club, yo.

Comments: This drabble I did for writerzilch way back when? Ended up kicking off TTYNKAP--Write Rude and Reno, she says. And weaknesses, she said. So I did. And after I wrote it, we were chatting on AIM about what other things people might not know about the Turks. As a throwaway line, one of us said something along the lines of, "Yeah, and imagine if Reno spoke Wutai!" as a joke, and, um, yeah. All downhill from there. >XD
Summary: Someone has a sweet tooth.

Weaknesses

"Ya know," Reno says, an amused smile on his face, "I never woulda figured you for having a sweet tooth."

Rude pauses slightly, fork halfway to his mouth. "And why is that?"

Reno shrugs, the motion loose and unconcerned, almost as if he's drunk. Reno moves with a grace somewhere between that of a cat and those of a drunk man, loose-limbed and exaggerated. "You're so straight-edged. Seem like the type to count your carbs and measure your portions to the miligram. Not the type to eat cake every chance he gets."

Reno smiles again, all lazy and amused.

"We all have our weaknesses," Rude says, and brings the fork to his mouth, closing his eyes slightly and almost unseen behind his sunglasses as he tastes the cake, pulling the fork out slowly.

Reno chokes a little, watching that, and Rude almost smiles.

So, chapter 7 has been sent off to a beta, meaning I am going to be sitting around not writing. I don't feel like jumping into chapter 8 yet because the thought of doing something long makes me want to cry. So. Drabbles!
